SB 2591 expands the purposes for which the Texas Water Development Board may use funds from the Economically Distressed Areas Account. In addition to funding water supply and sewer projects, the bill allows funds to be used for state participation in federal programs targeting economically distressed areas and for costs associated with platting or replatting land before connecting it to public water and sewer systems.
