Liberty Principles

At Texas Policy Research, we are dedicated to defending the principles that form the backbone of a free and civil society. Through the lens of five core liberty principles—individual liberty, personal responsibility, free enterprise, private property rights, and limited government—we carefully analyze and review legislation making its way through the Texas legislative process and provide Texas state lawmakers, their staff, and the general public with Floor Reports, designed to provide thorough legislative analysis and insight. These principles guide our mission to preserve the freedoms that make Texas and our nation strong, fostering a society where citizens can thrive without unnecessary government interference.

Recommendations in favor or opposition to legislation based on the aforementioned principles are done so without any consideration of partisan affiliation, author or sponsor, or perceived prioritization.
